WWII military simulation game

Post Scriptum is a tactical first-person shooter game developed by Offworld Industries. This game is a military simulation that puts you in the shoes of a soldier during World War II. Together with your squad, you will fight to the death against enemies in historically accurate large-scale battles.

Players must note, however, that Post Scriptum can be brutally unforgiving. The maps are dizzyingly large. Additionally, unlike games such as Battlefield V or Call of Duty: World at War, weapons are delegated on a first-come, first-serve basis. With this, not everybody can be a tank driver or a sniper.

What does the game offer?

Post Scriptum is an action shooter game that puts you in the shoes of a military officer during WWII. Here, you can play as one of the major factions, the United States, United Kingdom, France, or Germany. Each faction has different units, a chain of command, and various classes. Each class will also have a role to play that will affect the kit or the loadout of the player.

The game also has three campaigns: Operation Market Garden, Plan Jaune, and Operation Overlord. Each campaign will take you to various maps that accurately depict the battle arenas of WWII. More than that, the game will cover multiple theaters in the form of chapters. Each chapter will cover various epic battles and feature different maps, weapons, and vehicles. Furthermore, you can play several game modes, all requiring teamwork.

More than historically accurate maps and battles, this shooter game also boasts realistic gunplay. It features a realistic recoil in guns, and you can hear a perpetual bombardment of sounds on the battlefield. All sounds are crisp and lively. You can even feel getting shot at audibly and visually. Also, unless a medic is in range, you can die from a single bullet of a semi-automatic rifle or bolt-action.

Authentic WWII experience

Overall, Post Scriptum is a game worth picking up if you are into World War games. The game captures large-scale battles with its terrific gunplay and immersive sound design. However, its dedication to realism makes playing a chore. Players cannot choose their weapons, making surviving a challenge. It also doesn't help that the UI—while simple and clean—lacks information for newcomers and casual players.
